Okay, here's the log from last Saturday (I apologize for my typing at the
time); Ulrich, could you please post it?

Zorya says "Err... Who, hoo... who is that red hat? Never seen him."
Zorya points at Hora
Zorya says "Red hair, you know :)"
Hora says " oh sorry, let me introduce myself: Hora filius Graubold scholae
bonisagus. and you must be Zorya"
Zorya says "Hoo... Zorya filia Aurelian ex Bjornaer, yes... Hooo... I
thought Bonisagus were rare... Now we've got two. Hoooh..."
Hora says " two? didnt you hear what happened to the poor fellow?"
Stefanos says "he got carless!"
Zorya says "Hoo? I mean, ... what?"
Hora says "maybe, maybe not. In any case he had burned himself to ashes"
Zorya says "Burned? But he was not Flambeau, was he?"
Zorya looks confused.
Hora says " no. But he was interested in ignem was he?"
Zorya shrugs.
Zorya says "Let's hope this one lasts a little longer, one-eye."
Hora says " i think Stefanos can tell us more after he had examined the
remains of poor Lucius"
Stefanos says "OOC: I'm going to need a little input from the ASG as to
what I find about Lucias"
You say "okay"
Hora says " oh sorry"
You say "most obviousy a charred corpse"
You say "what else are you looking for?"
Zorya says "Did you try Recall the heart's final pulse?"
Stefanos says "anything that could give me some kind of clue as to what
happened... Magical residues? Teh composition of the ashes... the lay of
the rooms... anything disturbed? any indication of anyone else being there?
things like that"
Stefanos says "I tried Incantation of Summoning the dead... nothing doing"
You say "well you haveot cast spells to detect magical residues"
You say "no nothing's been distrubed no indicaitn of anyone else being tehre"
Stefanos says "that's what I do: I cast a spell!"
Stefanos says "InVi 10"
Zorya says "Recall the heart's final pulse works even if theres no ghost
left. THough I would expect it to give no more then a single BOOOM!"
You say "can you spont that?"
Zorya says "Me? Easily"
You say "what's heart's final pulse?"
Stefanos says "I think I can spont that!"
Zorya says "Gives the last thought bevore he died."
You say "where is it"
Zorya says "WGRE"
Zorya says "The original formulaic needs a bit of blood, but I think a
spont should work with ashes as well."
You say "okay, Recall of the Heart's Final Pulse doesn't find anythign
remakrable...just something about the atrological relationship between the
soul and Ignem"
MTKnife nods.
You say "okay, Stefanos you needot roll for that InVi10 spont; that's gonna
take fatigue"
Stefanos says "of course"
Stefanos rolls the die, which comes up a 9.
Zorya says "Nice die. :)"
Stefanos says "kewl!"
You say "were you making wild gestures and such?"
You say "and hte whole booming voice thing?"
Stefanos says "Oh yeah... voices and gestures... the whole 9 yrds"
You say "okay, it works, and you pick up the definite residue of an Ignem
spell"
Stefanos says "any more specifics? I could have told that without even
trying!"
You say "okay, a second magnitude psell by you would detect a 4th magnitude
spell...but if hte spell has arelady finsihed the residue is halved, so
actualy for it to be detectable this spell had to be at least 8th magnitude"
You say "but remember that it ok you ahile to get here....so actually
beforeyou could cast a spell it subsided further. From tha and the strength
of the residues, it appears that this was something like a 10th to 12th
magnitude spell"
Stefanos says "so all I got was the magnitude?"
Stefanos says "the form?"
You say "CrIg"
You say "think about that for a minute"
You say "10th to 12th magnitude?"
Zorya says "Hm... Create Hell?"
Stefanos says "I didn't know that Lucias was that good at gnem..."
You say "what would his scores have to be?"
Stefanos says "at least a 20 each! Impossible!"
You say "how many 10th magnitude fomrulaics do you know?"
Stefanos says "the highest level CrIg is 7th mag!"
You say "the highest one in the book, sure"
Stefanos says "well i dunno any other formulaics!"
You say "anyway why don't I let you pnder that while we gon on with the
cave adventure"
Stefanos says "hang on!"
You say "okay"
Stefanos says "You can't just leave us hanging like this!"
Stefanos says "If Lucias didn't cast it, who... or what, did?"
You say "good question"
Stefanos says "is there any other strange thing in the room?"
MTKnife suddenly reliazes thater's an awful lot of CrIg in this saga.
Hora says " we urgently need an Aegis"
You say "no, nothing else strange"
Zorya nods wildly at Hora.
Stefanos says "someything that is out of place... ?"
You say "nope, nothing out of place--psontaneous combustion"
Zorya says "That somehow reminds me of the way that bugs leg suddenly
exploded."
MTKnife grins.
You say "anything else on this topic?"
MTKnife waits
Zorya watches Hora carefully in case he might explode as well.
MTKnife grins.
Hora says " i think my first lab activity should be a creating of an aegis.
I can creat a 15 aegis in one season thats better than nothing"
You say "you can do beter than level 15"
You say "our house rules let you extract vis at twice the rate in the book"
Stefanos says "what about the vis you'll need?"
You say "adn i'f you'l lchekc hte library, I belive that there are both
level 20 and level 30 Aegis spells in there"
Zorya says "Besides that we've got a text with Aegis L30 in our Lib."
Stefanos says "we still needd a the vis!"
Zorya says "But... First you'll need to BUILD your lab..."
Hora says " oh the house rules .the lib... i should study it better"
Zorya says "But yes, you are right. We NEED an Aegis. Soon!"
You say "you do have one basic lab (-3 to lab total)"
Hora nods.
Zorya says "Maybe we should nail our best Vim expert to that labs floor..."
Stefanos whispers "what do you mean "possibly"?"
Zorya says "And that's definitly NOT me!"
Zorya thinks . o O (Vim? Who's that?)

You say "okay, we can discuss vim extraction in email"
You say "which, I might point out, I spent months trying unsuccessfully to
get peopel to do :)"
Hora giggles
Zorya says "We should have a council meeting soon to discuss that."
Stefanos says "stefanos and Viola took care of that... and Stefanos already
is working on making an item to collect the vis from the stream"
Hora nods toward zorya
Hora says " viola exctracting vim?"
You say "where are you goin ot get the vim vis to make the item?"
Hora says " fine"
You say "how much vis did you say it would take?"
Stefanos says "extract it from the aura"
You say "yes, but how much will it take?"
Stefanos says "I think we decided on 2 pawns?"
Zorya says "I'd say we should set up another two basic labs so at least our
Lab-experts can start working."
Stefanos says "I told you to l;og it, but you said you'd remember"
You say "I _know_ how much it takes, I"m asking _you_"
Stefanos says "we discussed this!~"
Hora says " yes one for vis extraction and one for the item"
Yerem says "thanks Stefanos."
Zorya says "Hoo? Now who is that?"
You say "my question is, if one of you extracts vis for a season, wil you
ahve enough vis _both_ otm ak the item and to cast the Aegis?"
You say "Stefanos, how many pawns of vis will that item to extract the vis
in the stream take?"
Stefanos says "It'll take two pawns of Vim vis"
You say "and how many pawns can you extract in one season?"
Stefanos says "I personally can extract 6 pawns in a season from the aura"
You say "Hora?"
Hora says "me too"
You say "okay, so either of you could do 6, and the'rs only one lab"
Stefanos says "How much vis do we need for the Aegis?"
You say "if you decide to use two for the item that leaves 4 for the
Aegis..and you do have a level 20 verison of Aegis in the library"
You say "you have two versions, level 20 and level 30"
Hora says " we should take the 20 first, so that we can use the other 2 for
the item"
Stefanos says "Agreed..."



You say "okay"
You say "on with hte cave then"
Stefanos says "fair enough"
You say "okay, so you guys were goign to go to the village again?  Who was
going?"
Stefanos says "stefanos"
HelenaG says "Well... Me, Sir Richard, Chrysaphios, Edward, Zorya."
Stefanos says "wasn't Stefanos going?"
Stefanos says "He definitely did last time"
HelenaG looks surprised at Zorya and Stefanos.
HelenaG says "OOC: No, Stef was not with us. SR was."
HelenaG says "OOC: But if he wants to come this time that's ok."
Stefanos says "I'll have to look up the logs... he was interested in this
whole 'spirit of the mountain' deal..."
HelenaG says "Yes, but he was too embarrassed at that time. :)"
HelenaG says "And Zorya was to tired."
Stefanos says "embarrassed?"
MTKnife watches
HelenaG says "He was shouting at SR before we left..."
Stefanos says "oh... that's right... gotcha"
Stefanos says "but yes, he will be going this time..."
You say "ok"
HelenaG grins.
You say "who else?"
HelenaG thinks . o O (Zorya AND Stef... We will scare the people of with no
end...)

Stefanos says "TO no end, Ulrich :)"
HelenaG says "As I said: Zorya, Helena, Edward, Chrysaphios, Stefanos, Sir
Richard."
You say "okay"
You say "well you set out Saturday evening for the village"
Zorya says "Well, I'll not walk with them. I'll fly there and watch."
You say "ah okay"
You say "are you flying along overhead as they walk?"
Zorya thinks . o O (And I hope it's ouddoors...)
Zorya says "No. I'll circle in the sky until they arrive."
You say "okay"
You say "little kids are pointing up at you"
You say "soem peopel come out to watch"
You say "roll the die zorya"
Zorya rolls the die, which comes up a 5.
You say "okay; nothing happens"
Zorya pages: Does it feel like the spell worked?
You whisper "yes" to Zorya.
Zorya smiles.
You say "okay, the rest of you come walking up to the village"
You say "and now everyone ignores the bird"
HelenaG remindes everyone to smile.
You say "obviously they're curious about hte strnagers..thogh they've seen
most of you before"
Chrysaphios smiles.
HelenaG asks Edward to ask/lead the way.
You say "but they sem to hbe shying away from Stefanos"
HelenaG says "Close to no lag here for me."
You say "in fact one small child, on seeing Stefanos, suddenly starts
crying and runs to his mother."
Stefanos strides around as if he owns the place
You say "So on the whole hte villagers are a little more cautious than they
were the last time."
HelenaG greets everyone she knows very friendly.
You say "they greet you back, just a little bit edgy"
HelenaG says "Edward?"
Edward smiles.
Edward talks to the people as well, and they're friendly but again a little
edgy--they keep look over their shoulders at Stefanos.
Stefanos takes no notice of the villagers but asks Helena "which is the boy
withthe stories?"
Zorya circles down far enough to hear what is being said.
HelenaG says "We will meet him soon, mylord. He will sing for his people
tonight."
Stefanos says "Do you se3e him, Helena? Answer the question I ask, not what
you THINK I mean!"
HelenaG says "Edward, would you ask the way and lead us there?"
Edward says "I remember the way, milady"
Edward says "or do yo uwant ot go to where hte peole will gather tonight?"
HelenaG says "Follow me, mylord, and you will meet him."
Stefanos says "very well..."
HelenaG says "To where the people will meet."
HelenaG says "That is... if he keeps his promise."
Edward nods. and asks a peasant, then leads you to the center of hte village.
HelenaG follows.
Zorya lands on a roof close to the center.
You say "okay, some peasants look VERY disturbed at that"
Chrysaphios acts as if Zorya is his pet. No need to make the villagers more
insecure
You say "one woman is now praying fervantly while looking at the bigowl."
Zorya looks intensly at that woman.
You say "she runs in terror."
Zorya shakes her head in wonder...
Stefanos says "what's wrong with her?" to a villager"
You say "People are staying away from that hut, and casting pitying looks
at its owners."
You say "the villager stefanos asks runs from him :)"
Chrysaphios sighs
HelenaG sighs.
Stefanos shrugs
HelenaG says "Well, I'll repeat Stefanos question to someone."
Edward attempts to call the villagers with friednly conversation.
Chrysaphios says " zorya will you ride on my shoulder?"
Edward says "Milady, apprently owls are a bad sign around here"
Edward says "They're unlucky."
The words Are you sure? sound in Chrysaphios head.
Zorya rolls the die, which comes up a 8.
Stefanos says "OOC: But Zorya is an eagle owl... too big to ride on your
shoulder olaf"
Chrysaphios says "OOC: for a while it will do"
Chrysaphios nods towards zorya
Zorya says "OOC: I would not want an eagle owls claws in my shoulder...."
Zorya lands on Chrysaphios shoulder and tries to be gentle.
Zorya says "Anyway it _will_ hurt."
Chrysaphios says " OOc: chrysaphios is a merchant not sure about claws of
owls"
Zorya says "OOC: He will find out. :)"
You say "okay, as Chrysaphios winces, now the villagers look at HIM with
big eyes."
You say "and keep their distance"
HelenaG sighs.
Edward throws up his hands in despair.
Edward sighs, "Magi."
HelenaG thinks . o O (So much about being friendly...)
HelenaG says "OK, let's try to find a place to sit.... "
You say "anyway they sort of settle down eventualy, but...um...you have
plenty of room to sit"
Stefanos says "where's the boy, Helena"
Chrysaphios says " ok i think we have made enough trouble.. *sigh* *moan*"
HelenaG looks around. Is the boy there allready?
You say "no, he's not"
Stefanos says "so where is he?"
HelenaG says "He's supposed to show up here, mylord. But we will have to
wait."
Stefanos is begining tio become impatient
Stefanos says "What do you mean, we have to WAIT?"
You say "the sun is just setting now"
Chrysaphios says " whisperes to zorya maybe it would be better if you fly
back to the valley. or sit on a tree but not on a house. it seems that the
viallers are afraid of you"
You say "people are staratign to relax--relatively speaking, and drink,
sing songs"
Stefanos says "well, Helena... why are these peasants making me wait?"
HelenaG says "I don't know when he will show up. He said "this evening"
witch is not very precise."
Stefanos says "then FIND hem Helena...!"
Chrysaphios says " Lord Stefanos if i may say something about this boy. He
maybe is the star of the feast and appears at last"
You say "a musician starts to play in the middle of the gathering"
HelenaG says "Him?"
You say "no, someone else"
Stefanos says "i don't care what his schedule is..."
HelenaG says "I'll take a look mylord, but I don't think he's around
allready."
Edward says "I don't see him, milady."
HelenaG stands up and leaves.
Stefanos says "then find him"
HelenaG whispers to Edward: At least appear to be searching. :)
Edward walks about searching for the boy.
Stefanos says "OOC: assholes :)"
You say "anywya, the musician is playing a flute; she's reasonably good"
HelenaG claps her hands to the music if appropriate and moves on searching.
You say "it's not really clappy music :)"
Chrysaphios changes pose whistles to the music.
Chrysaphios says "OOC: argh"
Chrysaphios whistles to the music.
You say "okay, the music plays on for a while, and then stops; some people
are looking at a hut at a corner of the village"
HelenaG says "I'll slowly walk over there."
You say "Well it' just a hut"
You say "But eventually the boy emerges from it."
HelenaG says "that's why. :)"
You say "and he walks toward the center of the village, s-l-o-w-l-y"
You say "in fact, it takes him some minutes to get there."
HelenaG says "I'll greet him with a friendly smile... Well, almost a
promissing smile... :)"
You say "he waves, shyly"
You say "as he passes Stefanos, he stops suddenly, nervously, and looks at
him."
HelenaG says "I'll guide him on."
HelenaG says "And make a sign to Stefanos, pointing at the boy behing the
boys back."
You say "it takes a moment, but eventually he resumes walking."
Stefanos nods and looks straight at the boy
Matthias stops again and returns Stefano's stare.
Chrysaphios says " i givve the boy a smile too"
Matthias smiles.
HelenaG steps in the way of their stares, smiles at the boy and asks: would
you sing... for me?
Matthias smiles and continues on his way....Eventually he reaches the place
where the flutist was playing.
Stefanos does not smile but stares intently at Matthias
HelenaG says "The boy has my full attention and I make sure he knows it. :)"
HelenaG says "OOC: It might make him a bit nerveous, but it should keep him
from looking at Stef. :)"
You say "anyway, eventually he starts to play his lute."
HelenaG thinks . o O (Finally....)
HelenaG listens with great interest.
You say "at first he's only playing the instrument"
Zorya flies over to a tree that's closer to the "stage".
Matthias doesn't notice her.
You say "he's actually very good"
HelenaG says "After a song or two i'll ask for the tale of the spirit of
the mountains."
You say "well he sings a couple of what must be popular songs
first...everyoen is clapping and smiling"
HelenaG says "...includeing me. :)"
You say "you thought he was good when you listened to his playing, but his
singing is much better....better than most of you have heard before"
Zorya listens amazed.
You say "now he starts to sing a ballad; it's very pretty actually"
You say "it's in Gothic, so mosto f you can't udnerstand a word of it."
HelenaG says "Hm, I should understand a few words by now... "
You say "yes, butit's singign after all, and terfore hard to make out"
You say "Stefanos, lulled by the music and not understanding a word of it,
falls asleep right there."
HelenaG casts an asking look at Edward.
Edward says "Well milady, it's a about a lad who goes up into the mountains"
Edward says "He's fascinated by the mountains, and wants to know their spirit"
